Our daughter screamed through naps…

Sat, 03 Feb 2007 20:35:48

babyOur daughter screamed through naps from birth. Her acid reflux wouldn’t allow her to sleep for more than an hour or two in her crib, and we were chewing through 8 batteries a week trying to get her to sleep in her swing. When she was 8 weeks old, we bought the Amby bed and the first night she slept in it, she slept for TWELVE hours! Poor exhausted little thing! Elaina now takes three long daytime naps, and snuggles into her Amby bed promptly at 7 each night. She loves to burrow her head into the sides - we love how breatheable the fabric is, and that we don’t have to worry! A well-slept baby has meant happy, well-slept parents! We are so impressed with it, we’ll be using it for all our babies now.

Thanks, Caroline, AJ and Elaina Siegmann

Great baby product!

Wed, 24 Jan 2007 01:35:02

Well I went researching different sleep options for a different reason. At 19wks gestation we found out our little boy had a cleft lip and cleft palate. During all my research I kept reading about the increase in ear infections and the liklihood of having tubes put in babies ears at a young age, in cleft babies. After speaking with our Cleft Team and asking questions they said that the open palate does cause fluid to build up in the inner ears and that laying flat on their backs only increases the fluid issues. So I went looking for a bed that would keep our little boy at an incline. I found the Amby bed and got it right aways! We took it with us to the hospital when he was born and it is the only thing he has ever slept in since birth aside from his carseat!~ Its beautiful and he couldnt’ look comfier in there if he tried. I’m so excited to say that at 4mths old he has not had an ear infection at all and this is all through the cold winter months! Thanks for a wonderful product, he loves it and so do we! The rocking motions that responds to his movements are wonderful and he’s been sleeping through the night since just a few wks old. He now sleeps 10-12hrs straight every night. From baby Azlan and Mommy…way to go on a great baby product!!!

THANK YOU!

THANK YOU!
I’ve read it over and over in the testimonials before purchasing the Amby baby, and now MUST tell you myself! We received the bed from my sister as a gift and started using it as soon as we came home from the hospital. I am in shock over the quality of sleep our baby is getting, he will sleep from 8:00 until 6:30 or 7:00 the next morning, no interruptions, no fussing, no waking at all! At first I didn’t believe it, chalked it up to a phase, but now nearly 3 months later he’s still snoring soundly! Olson is our second child and the first to use the hammock, I only wish I had it for our first son! So thank you Amby, from our entire family, and a huge thanks from little Olson who loves his bed so much.

Helped with ear infections, reflux

Fri, 15 Dec 2006 00:52:19

My 7-month old has struggled since birth with reflux and chronic ear infections. As a result, she developed terrible sleep habits. Her naps were never more than 45 minutes and has never slept through the night, or for even more than 3 hours at a stretch. We bought the Amby when she was 6 months old and didn’t expect miracles because we didn’t start her in it when she was younger, but we were desperate. We’ve been using it for about 2 weeks now and she has started taking 2-hour naps. I can’t tell you what a huge improvement this is for everyone, including my oldest daughter who finally gets some quality time with the grown ups in her life! Nighttime is still a struggle but it’s getting better.
Thank you, Amby!!!

Such a wonder product

Wed, 13 Dec 2006 01:31:53

Just wanted to drop a quick thank you for such a wonderful product. I purchased my amby when I was pregnant with my daughter. At just 1 month old she began sleeping through the night. All of our friend comment about what a wonderful temperment my little one has. I truly attribute this to the amby. She is a wonderful sleeper and napper. Tiffany just turned 15 months and we still have our amby out. When she isn’t feeling well, she crawls into it and goes to sleep! We are expecting baby #2 and will continue to use this product.

My husband was hesistant to put our 1st baby into it, he thought she’d fall out! That has never happened and when we moved, last April, it was the first item he found and put together.

Great for travel…

Mon, 04 Dec 2006 00:42:35

This is our son Zach at age 4 mos. He had acid reflux and would not sleep in his crib. We tried his car seat, a swing and his Pack N Play, but getting him to sleep more than an hour or two at a time was difficult. We ordered the AmbyBaby at 3 mos. and he started sleeping through the night shortly thereafter. It is great for travel, especially since we had to evacuate our home for hurricane Wilma in October. (Our house survived with minor damage.) We also checked it under the airplane to return home to the midwest for his baptism. He slept in it right up until he turned 8 mos. old, at which point he was very squirmy and uncomfortable because he got too big. We were worried about the transition into the crib, but it worked beautifully and virtually without any problems thereafter. Thank you so much!

Happy baby Ashley

Wed, 22 Nov 2006 00:24:56

Well, I was at my witts end and am so glad I found the Ambybaby! My baby would NOT sleep on her back in a crib (unless she was in a deep sleep when I put her there) and would only sleep 45 minutes to an hour and a half tops! I heard about your product from Dr. Sear’s website when I was trying to find out what to do regarding sleeping arrangements and SIDS etc. I was so terrified to have her sleep on my chest (the only place she would sleep for hours) and I needed sleep etc. Anyway, I saw the link to your product and I waited nearly a month (big mistake) before I decided to try it. I thank you for speaking with me and making me feel comfortable about it being right for her. She toots and kicks in her sleep and it wakes her up, but the amby puts her right back to sleep. She also naps in it during the day and she NEVER napped without being held before. She actually self-soothes in the ambybaby. Now, she has never slept more than 4 hours straight in it, but that is FAR more than the 45 minute average sleeps we got from her before and sometimes refused to sleep. I thank you for caring to have such a fantastic product. Attached is her in in having fun… I am always afraid to take a shot of her sleeping because I do not want her to wake!

A wonderful product

My daughter became a new mom at the age of 20. Baby Christopher aka C.J. had sleeping problems from day one. Most of the time C.J. slept in a bouncy seat with the bathroom fan running for the noise. My daughter was trying to stay in college but could not keep up with her studies because her newborn would not sleep more than 30 minutes. During the night he would sleep around an hour or two. Her husband has a sleep disorder and could not wake up during the night no matter how hard he tried. It did not take long for the family to feel overwhelmed. I stumbled across your website looking for baby things, read the article and brought it home to convince my husband (Papaw) he needed to buy this for our grandbaby. He said yes and the rest is history. The first day we put C.J. in the Amby bed he immediately started sleeping in longer intervels. At first we had to give him back his pacifer and swing the bed a little but gradually he stopped waking up as much. In the end he went to sleep at 7:30 pm and woke up once during the night but after a bottle he went back in his Amby bed and slept until 7:00 am. C.J. is now nine months old and my daughter just put him in his crib. He had no trouble with the transition. He is able to fall asleep by himself. I tell everyone I know, new parents, grandparents and anyone that knows of a baby having sleeping problems. I hope I have more grandbabies and never want anything but the Amby Bed for them! Thank you Amby Baby for such a wonderful product!

This is the bed for acid reflux!!

Sun, 27 Aug 2006 01:07:07

Thank you so much! My daughter is almost three months old and the Amby bed has been the best thing I have ever bought. My daughter has severe acid reflux, she has never been able to lay in her crib for more than 2 hours at a time during the night, she would always wake up screaming in pain. I have had the Amby bed for one week and the first time we put her in it at night she slept from 9pm to 5am and ever since it has been the same. I have noticed a big difference in her during the day also. It is very important to keep babies elevated, and this does the trick, no falling down from being propped up and it is a lot better than having your baby strapped in a wedge! This is the bed for ACID REFLUX!!

Now I know what all the other parents are talking about

Thu, 13 Jul 2006 22:58:17

I first saw an ad for the Amby when I was pregnant with my son. I was hesitant despite all the glowing testimonials because I could not see the product first hand ( I’d like to buy things that I can’t see and touch). I was able to find one gently used, and bought it as soon as I saw it. We survived with a bassinet for 11 weeks, but our boy was nowhere near sleeping through the night, and I was returning to work. Two days before I had to go back to work, we brought the Amby home. The first night was difficult, it seemed like he woke up every 2 hours (I think he was really gassy and getting used to the bed), the second night (the night before my first day) he slept 8 hours, and has done so ever since. Now I know what all the other parents are talking about. I can put him down while he is still awake and he will put himself to sleep. This is a wonderful product, and it is NOT going into the pile of hand-me-downs, it may have changed my mind about not wanting another baby. I am now telling my friend who has a fussy sleeper that she needs to get this bed for her baby!! Thanks Amby!

The best thing I have ever found on the market

Mon, 26 Jun 2006 23:02:57

I am a mom of 4 and my youngest is 10 weeks. She has been sleeping through the night since week 2 and I breast feed exclusivly. I sure wish I had had an Amby bed with the other 3. I can put her down in it awake and she is content. She either coos for a while or lulls herself to sleep. It has been the best thing I have ever found on the market. God really provided for this baby as she has a mild case of reflux. The dr. says it could be worse but with her Amby bed and me wearing her. She is happy and hardly spitting up. I also love that I can move it with such ease. Even after a c-section I could move her to the living room and back into the bedroom with such ease. Thanks you so much for giving this mom of 4 under age 6yrs a wonderful sleep and a happy baby. I could go on and on but you get the point.

Thanks Kian in Va

The hammock goes with us everywhere

Sun, 28 May 2006 14:51:26

Thanks for such a great product! I’d also like to share our experience with the hammock. Our first son slept in the hammock from birth (Jan 30 2004)– he never slept in anything else, except for the car seat on occasion. He loved the hammock and started to learn to bounce it himself by lifting his bottom around 4 months old. By the time he was five months old, he was bouncing “in rhythm” — very loudly, I might add! The hammock went with us everywhere — to Arizona, California, Minnesota, Florida and of course, at home in Pennsylvania. He slept in it until he turned 18 months old and was just getting too big. He needed more space. It was a little sad to put him in a bed because when we laid him down, he would try to bounce. He really missed his hammock, but he adjusted to his new bed after a few days. By the way, he never tried to sit up or get out of the hammock. Our second son is now five and a half months old and he has also learned to bounce the hammock, although he doesn’t seem to be as excited about bouncing as his older brother :) He has turned over a couple times onto his tummy, which his brother never did. But I think that he stopped doing that now. He seems to like sleeping on his side. Hopefully he will spend many more months in the hammock! We’ll see…each child is different. We love the portability and ease of set up.

Regards,
Ginger
