I used a Amby motion bed for my 1st child from about 4m to 9m, a friend of mine let me have hers. It was a life saver! She would not sleep anywhere else unless we were holding her. I then in turn let another friend have the bed for her baby. By the time I had my 2nd child I looked everywhere for a bed that was the same or similiar and could not find one. However by the time my 3rd child came along I was ready, I purchased the whole package!

I am very happy to say she’s slept in it from the day she came home! She’s 10 months now and still takes her daytime naps in it, and is now making the transition to a crib. I could not have survived without it. Thank you Thank you Thank you! My only wish is that she could stay in it longer!!!

I just wanted to say thank you for having such a wonderful product. My son Ashur who is now 3 1/2 months old has never been a very good napper. He fought through the day half asleep half awake and just seemed mostly miserable because of it. We tried everything, a bouncy seat, an incline sleep “nest” and used so many batteries for his swing, I started to think we just needed to find a way to plug it in!

I’m happy to report after hemming and hawing over the purchase of the bed because I was worried it’d be just another one of those gimmicky baby things, I couldn’t be happier and more pleased with how it helps him sleep… and now, a happy baby means a happy Momma.

What a great product. Our little girl loves her Amby bed.
Olivia had a reflux problem for the first 4 months, and her Amby bed was a great help for her to have a restful sleep.

She is now big enough to use the jumper and loves it too. It is so easy to change the Amby from bed to jumper.
I recommend this product to all of you who are wondering if this is a wise purchase.

It has been over four years since our daughter Lilly slept in the Amby. We were so impressed with the product that we decided to bring the Amby Hammock to the United States from Australia. Lilly had reflux as a baby and Amby was the only bed we could find in which she was able to sleep on a slight incline. Since then thousands of American parents just like us have placed their babies to sleep in an Amby.

We have now been blessed with our second child. Baby Nils was born in October and from his first night home has been sleeping in the Amby. Nils sleeps in three hour increments after nursing and he is now trending on four hours within the first 6 weeks. We have found that the key to this product is to use it from day one — and use it every night until the baby grows out of the product which is usually between 9-12 months. By this time, most of the critical sleeping and developmental issues have passed.

We are still firm believers in Amby because of the many benefits it gives baby.

The Amby is a wonderful invention! I frequently wish I could sleep in it myself. Our son started sleeping in it at 10 days old, and he would smile drowsily as I put him in it. He’s 4 months now, and huge for his age (19 lbs) but still fits nicely. Even when he wakes more frequently at night, it doesn’t panic me because I know that after addressing his need (usually hunger), he’ll go back to sleep in less than five minutes while I rock him in comfort from my bed.
We had to go on a road trip for 10 days last month, and brought the Amby along so that no matter where we stayed, he had his familiar bed, and it made all the difference. It was so easy to take down and set up, it fit well in the car, and I don’t know how we would have survived the trip without it.
It is hard on the back to frequently lift him in and out, so we have to remember to use good posture. We put a second mattress pad in it for warmth, and we use a little tube-pillow under his neck because his head was elongated when he was born, and it helped tilt his chin up and ease his breathing.
We love it, and consider it the single best thing we got for our baby. We’ll be keeping it in the family for this generation and hopefully the next as well. Thank you!

Hi Ambrose,

I figured it was time I wrote to thank you.
I have been using the Amby Hammock I purchased from you back in May 2003.
Firstly it was used for my eldest daughter Olivia who was born in February 2004. She is now 3 and a half, and a remarkably good sleeper.
Then it was used for my son Charlie, who is now 2, who slept through the night from 4 weeks old in the hammock and is still a fantastic sleeper.
My youngest daughter Lexie is now 12 months, and she too slept in the hammock from birth. She is sadly turning too wriggly for the hammock, so it is time we transitioned her to a cot.
I am sad to say there will be no more babies in my family to enjoy the blissful sleeps of the hammock.
But I wanted to thank you so so much for the invention.
Because my children have all learned to sleep so wonderfully in the hammock, my parenting days are filled with love & laughter rather than sleep deprived crankiness.
I have added the hammock onto a review page of the parenting website that I administer, and have previously recommended it to other members.
I hope this means that a few more parents find the best bed they can for their little babies!

Skyler has a pretty bad case of GER and is almost exclusively breastfed so we were having a hard time with her sleeping through the night. She slept through the night 3 or 4 times (in a few weeks) in her car seat but we then learned how sleeping in a car seat may hinder her development. Horrified, we searched for an alternative and found the Amby Baby. We are delighted to report that she has slept through the night every night the last SIX nights! And, unbelievably, she goes right back to sleep after I nurse her for another 2 ½ to 3 hours! Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!!! Oh, Skyler’s newborn sleep sack is a little too big for her so we use a hair scrunchy to make it fit just right. That’s the green thing at her feet.

I just wanted to let you know how impressed with your Amby baby hammock we are.
Our dear daughter (third child) was three weeks old when I ordered the hammock, because she was an unsettled baby who only slept for short period of around twenty minutes, often startling awake when placed flat into the cot. I was struggling to cope. Since using the hammock (about 3 weeks) she has built up to almost three hour stretches, and I feel like I have my sanity back!!
Not only had it proved benificial to ALL our sleep, but relative and friends have all commented on what a lovely cosy bed it is for a baby, wishing they had know about it when their children were babies.
I am singing the Amby’s Praise to anyone who will listen!!!!!
With the exhaustion and depression I was suffering before the hammock arrived I was concerned about post natal depression, and a lack of bonding with my daugther. Dear Amby Baby;

Our son Luke has reflux, and would only sleep on one of us for the first two months of his life. Before he was born, I had read about Amby Baby and wondered who would need such a bed like that! After many distressing nights, I read about you in Dr. Sears’ Baby Sleep Book, and decided to buy one. Well, thank goodness I did. Luke is 14 weeks old, and now sleeps 6 hours, eats, then sleeps another 3! It is so wonderful. When he starts to fuss before he totally is awakened, the Amby rocks him back to sleep. We are so grateful. I work in a Pediatric Emergency room, and whenever I hear parents talking of reflux or poor sleepers, I whip out my pictures of the Amby, and tell them how wonderful it is. It did take him a night or two to get used to it, but now, he sleeps well EVERY night. Thank you again! This will be the first bed for our next baby, for sure. A picture of happy Luke is attatched!

Okay, so it is April 4th 2007: It is 3:18, and I am NOT holding a baby, I am actually typing with 2 hands! We got the bed today at 2 p.m. and she is sleeping quietly in the bed, and I actually get a break. This may be a GODSEND. I will give Updates as we use this Motion bed more, so far, so Great!

April 9th, She has slept in her Amby bed every night for at least 6 hours a night! This is a miracle for us, she does not cry as much as she used to and when I put her in this Hammock, she calms down, relaxes and sleeps! We LOVE it! Thank you Amby Baby! And being a Minnesotan at heart, (that is where I am from) I was also so impressed to see that this company is based out of Minneapolis!

I wanted to thank you for this product.
I was skeptical at first but it has been working great for my 3 month old daughter. She does not like her crib and had to take naps on our bed, the couch and sometimes even on me.
She is now more comfortable sleeping and I believe slowly she will begin to sleep in the bed for longer periods of time.

My husband and I wanted to thank you for what we call “The Amazing Amby”. We don’t know what we would do without our Amby bed! We bought it for our daughter Kadence when she was two months old. She wouldn’t sleep in her regular crib or a cradle, and we didn’t feel safe having her sleep through the night in bed with us. Kadence loves sleeping in her Amby, and now we can get rest knowing she is safe and snug.

i feel it was the best of all purchases and i recommend it to everyone.
attached are two pics of lulu slumbering. lulu is now 5.5 months old and sleeping in her crib. she is larger than 14 pounds and 24 inches. (those are the last measurements i have, taken at her 4 month well check) if i switch the hammock to the jumper will she be able to use it? is she big enough? (Note from Amby: Babies can use the Jumpy as soon as they can hold their head up independantly)

Our little Connor has been sleeping in his Amby bed since we brought him home from the hospital. He loves it and so do we! He has been sleeping through the night since he was 7 weeks old. When he was a newborn he had problems with reflux, but this never interrupted his sleep because the Amby kept his head elevated. We have traveled out of town a few times and the bed is so easy to take along. Connor is now 6 months and, as you can see from the picture, is still loving his Amby bed. Thank you for such a wonderful product! We highly recommend it to every parent we know.

I waited 3 weeks before putting my son in it to sleep and the first night he slept 10 hours straight from 2-3 hours at a time! From there he increased to 12 hours a night and (2) 2 hour naps during the day. I tell everyone they must get one of these. It is my top baby pick. I just wish you sold it in mainstream stores so more parents could enjoy the wonder of sleep and a new baby. My almost 2 year old is now in his crib and still an excellent sleeper thanks to the amby. I\’m having my second child soon and can\’t wait to pull out my amby again. If you are unsure about this product just buy it! They resell on e-bay for almost the same price you can buy a new one. I have 5 friends that have also bought amby\’s and we all swear by it. I would suggest that the company get waterproof sheets to add to the product.
